FAQs

What is Process Serving?

United States law requires that each party in a case should be notified to appear in court to answer complaints or actions that are taken against them, and that notification needs to be made by an impartial party.

People are made aware that an action has been commenced involving them through the delivery of legal documents such as summons, complaints, subpoenas, order to show cause and writs. There are several types of service: including Personal Service, Substituted Service, Posting (Nail and Mail) and Service by Publication.

Although Process Serving laws and rules of civil procedure are different from state to state, Action Subpoena and it’s affiliates have access to the state rules to make sure your papers are delivered in compliance with all the legal statutes.
